Saturday, March 21st, 2020, will mark the seventh running of the Tomoka Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K Races.

The Tomoka Marathon was selected by runners as of the Top 20 Marathons in the US according to the BibRave100 and featured in Runner's World as one of the 70 American Road Races Every Runner Should Finish 

The 7th Annual Tomoka Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K, will take place in Ormond Beach, FL on Saturday, March 21st, 2020.   This race includes the full marathon, half marathon, and a 5K run/walk.  The full marathon is a certified as a Boston Qualifier.   This year we will also be adding a Ruck division to the half marathon.  The one-of-a-kind route takes runners through natural and historic Florida on a beautiful course which includes the Tomoka State Park and Intracoastal Waterway vistas.

The marathon route, affectionately known as “The Tomoka Loop”, has appeal for locals and travellers alike to enjoy some of the most diverse natural “Old Florida” scenery remaining. The views are a panoramas of rivers, inland creeks, marshes, barrier island dunes and beach, as well as historic sites. “The Tomoka Loop” is designated as one of Florida’s Scenic Highways and runners will quickly see why it earned this distinction as they experience the natural beauty of the area from beginning to end.

The start and finish area for all events will be at The Casements, which is the historic former winter home of John D. Rockefeller. The post race party will be held in the beautiful Rockefeller Gardens on the Halifax River and features complimentary food, drinks and beer for participants.

Funds raised by this event will be returned to the local community in a variety of ways.  Donations are made to student and citizen groups who provide volunteer support. These groups include: VFYMCA, Team RWB, Seabreeze Boys Cross Country Team, Boy Scouts of America, Ormond Beach Civil Air Patrol, ERAU Lady Eagles Soccer Team and the Halifax Health Foundataion.
