Support our Armed Forces at the National D-Day Memorial by participating in a patriotic themed 5K Run/Walk. Not only does the race begin and end at the picturesque Memorial, but a total change in elevation of 220 feet provides a unique challenge for runners of all levels to “Conquer the Hill.” Participants will also have the opportunity to honor and interact with members of the Armed Forces past and present.

T-shirt guarantee deadline is May 1. For registrants after this date, shirts will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis at packet pickup.
Packet pick-up is Friday, May 15 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at the Bedford Area Welcome Center (816 Burks Hill Rd, Bedford, VA) and Saturday, May 16 at the Memorial's Quonset Hut Pavilion from 7:00am to 7:50am.

Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 finishers overall for the 5K Run (Male & Female), Master Champion (Male /Female, 40+), Age Group Awards (Male & Female) 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up, and teams for "team spirit" and "top fundraisers". All runners 12 years old and younger will receive a medal-- this does not include the virtual race participants.
Refreshments will be provided to participants following the race. There will also be door prizes. All who participate are invited to stay for a guided tour of the Memorial following the event.
Tiger Trail and Overlord Circle will close to traffic at 7:40 a.m. through the duration of the race on Saturday, May 16. Participants and event spectators must be on-site by this time in order to participate in the race. Admission fees to the memorial will be waived during the 5K event (6:30 – 10:00 a.m.) No pets and no firearms allowed.

8:00 a.m. Armed Forces Day 5K Run/Walk Begins
The awards ceremony will begin approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of the race.
Refreshments will be available as participants finish the race.
